how are disperse dyes classified
Aug 24, 2018

Disperse dyes can be classified into low temperature type, medium temperature type and high temperature type according to their different heat resistance.

◆Low temperature dyes

It has low resistance to sublimation, low fastness and good levelling property. It is suitable for dyeing by exhaustive dyeing. It is often called E dye.

◆High temperature dyestuff

It has high fastness to sublimation, but poor levelness. It is suitable for hot melt dyeing, called S dye.

◆Medium temperature dyestuff

The fastness to sublimation is between the above two, also known as SE dye.

When dyeing polyester fabric with disperse dyes, dyes should be selected according to different dyeing methods.
