Reactive Dyes And Their Advantages

The dyeing method of reactive dyes; the most commonly used dyeing method for reactive dyed cotton: dip dyeing and rolling dyes. Dip dyeing: dip dyeing can be divided into one bath one step, one bath two step, two bath three dyeing methods. A: one bath one step method: it is dyed in alkaline bath, that is, in dyeing with solid color, this method is brief, the dyeing time is short, and the operation is convenient, but because the absorption agrees with the solid color, the dye can not be dispersed again after the fixation, so the dyeing is poor in leveling and dyeability. The dyeing stability of the dyestuff is more than that of the dyestuff. B: one bath two step method: first in the neutral bath dyeing, when the dye is close to the balance, in the dye bath, add the alkali agent, adjust the pH value to the fixed color rule pH value, (usually 11) when the dye and fiber reach covalent contact, reach the fixation intention. One bath two step method is a relatively reasonable dyeing method in reactive dye dip dyeing. It can not only obtain higher dye uptake and fixation rate. And it has good levelling effect, so this method is often used in dyeing cotton knitted fabric.

The reactive dyestuff is made up of a parent dye, a connective group and a reactive group, so that it can be associated with a strong covalent bond with the fiber when used, and has a series of unparalleled features of other cellulose dyes. It has established its position as a key to the development and application of dyes for cellulose fibers. The following four aspects:

(1) reactive dyes are one of the best alternatives to banned dyes and other types of cellulose dyes such as sulphur dyes, ice dyes and vat dyes.

(2) reactive dyes can achieve high levels of fastness, especially wet fastness, with economical dyeing and simple dyeing operations.

(3) reactive dyes have broad chromatography, bright coloring, excellent functions, and strong applicability. Their color and function are basically compatible with the request of shopping malls for fiber and clothing materials.

(4) reactive dyes are suitable for printing and dyeing of new cellulosic fibers, such as Lyocell fibers.
